The Möbius strip
If you move your finger along a Möbius strip, you find that what was the outside becomes the inside; what was upside is now downside. It is a continual remembering and discovering anew at the same time. Like the spiritual journey, one never “arrives.”
In this last third of our lives, we are called to harvest from the past the good that God has bestowed upon us and carry it into this season, leaving behind what has not served us well. In these years, the journey is not so much forward as it is deeper and wider, as we find that in God there is no beginning and no end.
