The Wisdom Years is facilitated by Marjorie George, Carla Pineda, and the Rev. Patricia Riggins. While all are members of The Episcopal Church and were raised in that tradition, we welcome people of all faiths or no faith at all to this community.
Marjorie George is the former communications officer for the Episcopal Diocese of West Texas, and, after retirement, coordinator of adult Christian formation. She has master’s degrees in communications and spiritual formation. Her special interest is the spiritual journey for older adults. She lives in San Antonio, Texas, with her husband and spoiled golden retriever, Maggie.

Carla Pineda is manager of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church Bookstore in San Antonio, Texas. She is a retreat leader, a small-group facilitator, writer, and spiritual director. She has a master’s degree in counseling. Carla formerly oversaw a ministry of nurturing formerly incarcerated women to thrive in their lives after imprisonment. She lives in San Antonio with her husband and surrounded by patio plants and hummingbirds. Her special interests are in journaling and poetry.

The Rev. Patricia Riggins is an Episcopal priest who has served several congregations in the Diocese of West Texas. Patricia earned her Master of Divinity degree from Seminary of the Southwest in 2010, following a long career as a health care executive. She also holds a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Public Health from Tulane University. Her special interests include listening to where the Holy Spirit is calling each of us, finding joy in God’s creation, and strengthening our relationships with one another so we can share God’s grace and mercy. She lives in New Braunfels, Texas, and shares her life with a husband and two cats.
