On the beautiful and sacred grounds
Of the Bishop Jones Center
In San Antonio
Saturday, April 27,
9 a.m. to noon
You are invited for a morning of quiet reflection on the serene and welcoming grounds of the Bishop Jones Center.
This quiet and peaceful setting has been a place of spiritual and physical refreshment and renewal for thousands of years. It was here that early Native Americans camped as they carried out daily activities as well as sacred rituals. It was here that the head of the San Antonio River once gushed forth from pristine springs. Here early residents of Alamo Heights enjoyed Sunday afternoon picnics and boating on the lake that was formed.
The Spirit of God has blessed this land and continues to speak to those who would hear.
Through guided meditations and contemplative walks, we invite you to slow down and come apart for a while, experiencing God’s presence in his creation.
We will begin at 9 a.m. with a guided meditation, then invite you to a contemplative walk of the grounds. Your walk can include sitting at one of the many benches around the property. After your walk, we will come back together for conversation.
