Six Essays from Six Seasoned Writers
June 18, 25, July 9, 16, 23, 30
On Zoom
Every period of life has something new to teach us, says Joan Chittister. “The harvest of youth is achievement; the harvest of middle age is perspective; the harvest of age is wisdom . . .”
Where have you gained wisdom as you have become older, no matter your age right now? Have you discovered, as has Mark Nepo, that “many of the ways we have engaged the world – that worked for decades – no longer work”?
For six weeks this summer we will engage with writers like Joan Chittister, Mark Nepo, Ron Rolheiser, Parker Palmer, and others to look deeply at our own spirituality in our season of aging.
Links to online essays will be sent to you each Monday. You will read them on your own, then we will gather on Thursdays at 4 p.m. (Central time) by Zoom for conversation.
There is no charge for the essays or the conversation, and we invite persons from all denominations, or no denomination at all, to join us.
To get the links to the essays each week, send a one-time email to Marjorie George at marjoriegeorge62@gmail.com before June 16.
